1. What is Planet Glitter made from?

Planet Glitter is made from biodegradable plant-based cellulose - derived from renewable raw materials, not plastic! It’s cosmetic grade, eco-friendly, and designed to break down in natural environments over time (not in your glitter drawer, don’t worry).

2. Is it safe to use on skin?

Yes! Planet Glitter is cosmetic grade and skin-safe - perfect for use on your face (cheeks, temples, forehead), body, and hair.

🚫 BUT: Please avoid use around the eyes or mouth. Even biodegradable glitter can scratch, irritate, or cause injury if it gets into the wrong places.

3. Can I use it on my eyelids or lips?

Nope - we love sparkle, but eye and lip safety comes first. Our glitters are not tested or approved for use on mucous membranes. Stick to external sparkle zones!

4. Can I mix it into hair gel, slime, or balm?

You can, but with care!
Planet Glitter is biodegradable, which means it can start breaking down in wet or moist environments.

  • short-term, immediate use
  • Not ideal to pre-mix and store in tubs
  • Always test a small batch first!

5. Can I use it for arts and crafts?

Absolutely! Planet Glitter is perfect for:

  • Resin art (test first!)
  • Greeting Cards
  • Slime
  • Playdough
  • Kids' crafts
  • Party decorations
  • Costumes + cosplay

Just remember: if your craft is wet or sticky, the glitter may start to break down over time.

6. How is it packaged?

We use eco-conscious, recyclable or compostable packaging. All products are shipped in recyclable boxes, with cellulose tape, acid free tissue paper and compostable stickers supplied by HeapsGood!
The products specifically are shipped in glass jars! No unnecessary plastic here, just sparkle and sense. ✨♻️

7. Is it cruelty-free and vegan?

Yes! Planet Glitter contains no animal products, and we never test on animals. Just good vibes and biodegradable shine.

8. Where are you based?

We’re proudly based in Australia, glittering across the nation from our HQ. All orders are packed with love and sparkle, ready to shoot into your mailbox like a cosmic confetti cannon.

9. How do I dispose of Planet Glitter?

If any leftover glitter ends up outside (e.g. on your skin during a festival, rinsed off in the shower, etc.), it’s designed to biodegrade naturally in the environment - unlike plastic glitter that sticks around for centuries.

For dry excess glitter, just pop it into your general waste - it’ll break down much quicker than traditional glitters.

10. What does TÜV certified biodegradable mean?

Planet Glitter is made using TÜV OK Biodegradable-certified film, which means it’s been independently tested and verified to break down naturally in the environment - without leaving harmful microplastics behind.

This certification confirms that:

  • plant-based materials (not plastic!)
  • biodegrade under natural environmental conditions, such as in soil or compost

So when we say biodegradable, we’re not just throwing around a buzzword. The TÜV certification backs it up - it’s the real deal. ✨♻️

🌸 Just remember: it doesn’t dissolve instantly. The glitter stays stable for your sparkly looks and creative projects, but will break down over time once it enters the environment.
